Private Lands Partners Day 2026

Alexandria, Minnesota | September 22nd-24th

Private Lands Partners Day 2026 is headed to central Minnesota! Often referred to as the “Land of 10,000 Lakes”, Minnesota lies mid-continent at the intersection of North America’s prairie, eastern broadleaf forest, boreal forest and peatlands. Prairie habitats covered one-third of the state but presently little more than 1% remain.

In 2008 a new era of conservation investment was initiated when Minnesotans voted to tax themselves to improve the environment around them by passing the Clean Water, Land, and Legacy Constitutional Amendment which provides funding for water quality improvement, wildlife habitat and cultural resources. This unprecedented level of state grant funding coupled with partner resources has been a catalyst for expanded collaborations amongst agriculture and conservation organizations, local, state, and federal agencies, and landowners across the state. Come to Minnesota to see how the state is navigating generational change and learn about some of the great private lands partnerships underway!
