After much consideration and debate, the Partnerscapes board has decided not to hold an in-person Private Lands Partners Day in 2021. This was not an easy decision, but with ongoing Covid restrictions in Oregon and travel restrictions remaining in place for many public agencies, it was the best decision.
The Partnerscapes board is still considering a virtual Private Lands Partners Day for this fall, and we hope to have a decision sometime in July. We realize that a virtual meeting does not do this event justice, and this was not the type of meeting preferred by respondents to the PLPD survey we conducted this spring, but we have some ideas that might make for a different type of experience attractive to those interested in learning more about collaborative efforts and public-private conservation partnerships.
We truly hope that by October 2022 we are all able to travel and gather again. Private Lands Partners Day is slated for Arkansas in 2022, Montana in 2023 and we WILL be going to Oregon in October of 2024. Partnerscapes truly regrets not having the chance to see folks in person this year, but we do so hope to see you sooner than later somewhere down the road!
