Early last month, the 17th annual Private Lands Partners Day was convened in Williamsburg, Virginia.  Landowners and partners that were able gathered from across Virginia, the region, and the United States to learn about collaborative, voluntary conservation efforts in Virginia.  This was the meeting’s first convening in the Mid-Atlantic region, and locally-led conservation and agricultural production efforts are robust in this part of the world. We had hoped that having it so close to the national capital, we would have some participation from those quarters, but that was not to be with the lapse in federal appropriations that occurred just prior to the meeting. The people that were able to make it and the partnerships we got to experience were outstanding, however! See what you missed here!
