Partnerscapes is hosting a workshop for U.S. Fish and Wildlife (USFWS) Partners for Fish and Wildlife biologists as well as their organizational and landowner partners in western states to share relationship and partnership building skills that are foundational to voluntary programs, projects, and partnerships implemented by landowners, agencies, and organizations around the West and around the country. The event will be held January 11-12 (1.5 days), 2023 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Participants will also be part of a facilitated needs assessment regarding ongoing support for the knowledge, skills, and abilities critical to cooperative and collaborative conservation efforts.
Partnerscapes worked with a range of voluntary conservation partners to deliver a similar event focusing on the Midwestern states, which was extremely well attended. We are planning more of these sessions in other parts of the country. This January event, while ideally suited to early career professionals, will be greatly enhanced by the participation of more seasoned private lands focused staff and landowner partners as well.
